Jennifer, Mark, Ian and I spent 15 glorious days in February at Rabbit Hill in Barbados. It is
on the east coast, which is quiet, non-touristy and so relaxing. Waking up to the ocean's surf, having breakfast by the pool and watching the kids play in our own pool for hours each day was perfect. Part of each day included meeting the local
fishing boats in the late afternoon so that the kids could see the treasures from the sea. Sun and blue sky every day! Lots of touristy things to do in Barbados if you want but it was always comforting to come back to Rabbit Hill and enjoy our private piece of paradise. The kids are asking when we are going back - hopefully soon again!

As a 10-year resident and business owner I sometime forget that I actually live in what many people call a tropical paradise. When I need to get away from the day-to-day pressures of the business, I like to head over to the unspoiled side of the island, the east coast, where it feels more like the real Caribbean. My favourite retreat there is always Rabbit Hill. The constant trade winds and sound of the Atlantic surf create a wonderful calming affect, making a four-day stay feel like a week.
